Alagang OWWA Powered by VidaCure MOA Signing with Care Center Clinic
Alagang OWWA and Care Center Clinic reaffirmed their shared commitment to caring for Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) with the signing of another Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) on January 23, 2026, at the OWWA Center Building in Pasay City.
The event opened with a luncheon hosted by OWWA, followed by the MOA signing for the enforcement of the “𝗔𝗟𝗔𝗚𝗔𝗡𝗚 𝗢𝗪𝗪𝗔 𝗟𝗮𝗯 𝗙𝗼𝗿 𝗔𝗹𝗹 𝗠𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗟𝗮𝗯𝗼𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘆 𝗠𝗼𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗲 𝗖𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗰 𝗽𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝗯𝘆 𝗖𝗔𝗥𝗘 𝗖𝗘𝗡𝗧𝗘𝗥”.
Bringing Essential Healthcare Services Closer to OFWs and Their Families
The Mobile Family Care Facility will serve as a key component of Alagang OWWA, powered by VidaCure, under the Alagang OWWA Program. This integrated initiative aims to help widen the reach of healthcare services and bring them closer to OFWs and their families, especially those with limited access to healthcare facilities.
The mobile clinic is equipped with X-ray, ultrasound, and laboratory facilities, making it a fully functional medical unit on wheels. Through the mobile clinic, OFWs and their families can conveniently receive medical consultations, laboratory tests, X-ray services, and other essential diagnostics, saving time, reducing costs, and ensuring timely medical attention.
Ceremonial Signing and Key Attendees
The ceremonial signing was led by OWWA Administrator Atty. Patricia Yvonne “PY” Caunan, alongside PharmaCare Plus Business Director Mr. Raffy Laguda. Also in attendance were OWWA Deputy Administrator for Operations Rosalia Susana Bahia-Catapang and OWWA Deputy Administrator for Administration and Field Management Atty. Jasmine Ann Gapatan. Representing PharmaCare Plus were Atty. Arvin Maceda, Head of Legal, and Ms. Lyanne Gonzales, Head of Operations for YAKAP at GAMOT.
Enhancing Support for Migrant Workers
Through this collaboration, Alagang OWWA Powered by VidaCure and Care Center Clinic aim to enhance medical assistance tailored to the needs of migrant workers and their dependents.
OWWA Administrator Atty. Caunan shared that the goal of the mobile clinic donated by First Lady Liza Araneta Marcos is to complement and supplement OWWA’s welfare initiatives. She noted that this addition will further strengthen PhilHealth’s YAKAP at GAMOT program by bringing essential healthcare services closer to communities.
“Wala akong ibang hinihiling kundi mapabuti ang kalagayan ng ating mga minamahal na OFW.” – Atty. Caunan
The OWWA Administrator expressed her gratitude to the Care Center Clinic and VidaCure for being committed partners in their mission to safeguard the welfare of Overseas Filipino Workers. Atty. Caunan shared a moving story of a hardworking seafarer who, through PhilHealth’s YAKAP at GAMOT program, was able to significantly cut down his expenses on doctor’s visits and medicines. It’s these kinds of wins that make a huge difference, helping our modern-day heroes bring more of their hard-earned money home to their families.
Following the successful launch of OWWA Botika Powered by VidaCure Pharmacy in Tuguegarao, Atty. Gapatan pointed out that the next phase of the partnership involves rolling out services on a national scale. Many regional communities expressed a strong interest in accessing similar healthcare support.
“It’s about time na Ibida ang OWWA Botika Powered by VidaCure Pharmacy,” Atty. Gapatan affirmed, describing the program as a benchmark that other regions are now eager to adopt.
PharmaCare’s Commitment to OFWs
PharmaCare Plus Business Director Mr. Raffy Laguda shared that the company remains fully committed to supporting OWWA and its programs. He emphasized that helping OFWs is not just a partnership, but a mission that PharmaCare proudly stands by.
This MOA signing reinforces the vital role of public-private partnerships in delivering meaningful, long-term impact in shaping a future where healthcare and support are within reach for every OFW and their family.
