MEET THE DOCTOR:
Dr. Cheerish Limson-Creencia, MD, FPCP
Internal Medicine Specialist
Monday – Sunday by appointment
A graduate of St. Luke’s College of Medicine, Dr. Cheerish Limson-Creencia has been in the field for 17 years. Dr. Creencia has always been fascinated by science, which naturally led her to pursue a career in medicine. During her internship and training, she discovered her core strengths and realized that Internal Medicine is the best path for her.
Dr. Creencia is dedicated to caring for her patients, ensuring they feel heard, supported, and empowered on their journey to better health. For her, one of the most fulfilling parts of being an Internal Medicine physician is helping patients prevent serious conditions like stroke and heart attack. Managing cardiovascular risk factors and seeing her patients stay healthy, year after year, is what gives Dr. Creencia the greatest sense of purpose.
Patient Approach
When it comes to patient care, Dr. Creencia believes that doctors have their own style, even those who trained in the same institution or specialized in the same field. She values individualized treatment and adjusts her approach based on what each patient needs.
She understands that patients respond differently—some do well with a strict doctor, while others feel more comfortable with someone warm and easy to talk to, even turning consultations into a safe space where they can share how they feel. For Dr. Creencia, effective care comes from recognizing what type of support each patient needs.
Practical Health Tips
Prioritize your comfort in care.
If your doctor doesn’t feel right, it’s okay to find one whose approach suits you. Choose a doctor who makes you feel understood and supported. Prioritize a partnership that works for your health.
Listen to your body.
If something feels off, trust that feeling. Your body usually tells you when something needs attention. Don’t ignore symptoms. Even mild symptoms deserve attention—get checked early. Prompt care can make a big difference in your health.
Stick to the basics of a healthy lifestyle.
Avoid smoking, limit alcohol, and eat more vegetables and whole foods. These small habits create long-term benefits. Above all, exercise regularly and find joy in everyday life. Good health isn’t just about numbers—it’s about feeling well, staying active, and living happily.
Get a yearly checkup.
Even if you feel fine, an annual physical exam can help catch issues early. Depending on your budget, this can be a basic work-up or a full executive check-up. A simple set of tests can detect concerns like TB, UTI, and anemia, while a more comprehensive package gives a deeper look at your overall health.
