2. How do I get free medicines from the PhilHealth GAMOT program?
First, you must register for the PHILHEALTH YAKAP (formerly Konsulta) program at a Care Center Clinic. You’ll receive a free consultation with an accredited physician, followed by free prescribed diagnostics and medications. You can then get these free medications at the VidaCure Pharmacy, which is conveniently located inside the clinic.
3. What types of medicines are covered by the PhilHealth GAMOT program?
The program covers pre-identified generic medications for common conditions affecting Filipinos, such as high cholesterol, hypertension, diabetes, and asthma. It also includes medicines for pain relief, hyperacidity, and allergies, as well as selected minerals, supplements, and antibiotics. Please note that branded medicines are not covered and must be paid for by the patient.
4. Do I need to be a PhilHealth member to avail of this (GAMOT) program?
