Dr. Julie Martha C. Tubera-Josehas been caring for children since 1995. After retiring from government service last year, she continues to practice privately, driven by her lifelong passion for helping children grow healthy and happy.
Why Pediatrics?
For Dr. Jose, caring for children comes naturally. She has always felt a special connection with kids, and pediatrics allows her not only to care for the child but also to walk alongside the parents, guiding them through every stage of their child’s growth and development.
A Heart for Children and Families
From a young age, Dr. Jose knew she wanted to be a doctor, not for fame or wealth, but to make a meaningful difference in people’s lives. Drawn to children from the very beginning, she finds pediatrics deeply rewarding, especially when former patients return as parents, entrusting her with the care of their own children.
Patient Care Approach
For Dr. Jose, treating a child goes beyond managing illness. She works closely with families, making it a point to explain a child’s condition in simple, clear terms so parents know exactly what is happening, what needs to be done, and how they can support their child’s health at home. She carefully monitors each patient’s growth, development, and overall progress, ensuring that every visit contributes to their long-term well-being.
Dr. Jose shares that seeing families thrive, building trust, and sharing in their children’s milestones make her work truly fulfilling.
Tips For Children’s Health
For Dr. Jose, children’s health is not just the result of medical care; it’s shaped by awareness, mindful habits, and nurturing from the whole family. She recommends:
Hand hygiene – Teaching children to wash their hands regularly is one of the simplest but most effective ways to prevent infections and keep them healthy.
Nutrition – A balanced diet is the foundation of a strong immune system, healthy growth, and overall well-being.
Vaccinations – Keeping up with recommended immunizations protects children from serious illnesses and helps prevent complications later in life.
Physical activities – Regular movement and playtime are essential for proper physical development, coordination, and emotional well-being. Focusing on physical activities can also help limit excessive screen time.
Early learning and bonding – Reading and interactive activities from an early age stimulate brain development, language skills, and emotional intelligence, while also strengthening the bond between parent and child.
